MedicFusion™ was designed by doctors for doctors. It's web-based, easy to access and easy to use. It's affordable and doesn't require capital outlays for software and upgrades. It's a one-stop-shop for all your medical business needs so you can be free to be a doctor again. Your staff and patients will thank you for it and you'll thank us.
Want to know who you're dealing with? Here's our team.
When faced with allocating an entire medical therapy room to file cabinets, Mel got busy trying to find a better way. Finding nothing affordable for the small practice physician, she decided to surround herself with enough technical geniuses to bring the dream alive. She now uses phrases like "nit" and "PHP" in casual conversations and most people are very impressed. In her previous life, Mel worked in the investment business and even politics.
Dean is a veteran chiropractor and owner of East Kemper Chiropractic, Inc. and Spaaaah! for Medical Wellness. His lifelong commitment to not spending money created the road block that led to the detour that led to Medicfusion. Formerly considered cheap, he's now considered quite thrifty. He's also a darn good chiropractor, as his patients will attest.
David was only seeing a few patients a day when the Medicfusion team first assembled, meaning he had plenty of time to research ideas, find the right personnel and even test technology. He's a lot busier these days, and the growth of his practice is a perfect testimony to the benefits of smart automation. His practice is Western Row Chiropractic in Mason, Ohio.
Rob likes to say he was "Geek before Geek was chic." Don't laugh. He really does say that. He has been at his keyboard a long time, beginning way back in 1983 (gasp!) when the movie, WarGames inspired his inner-Geek. Rob grew up to become one of the founders and CIO of the home furnishings catalog powerhouse, Frontgate. Time well spent. Today, Rob splits his time among his day job consulting the direct marketing industry, his Master's program at the University of Cincinnati, and his wonderful family. Unfortunately, all of this drastically cuts into his true loves, 24-hour Xbox 360 tournaments and old Monty Python movies. Somebody get that man a bucket!
Cautious Ken is our Senior Application Engineer, which means he's the boss of the technical geniuses. He earned his stripes in a basement cubicle designing government databases and some other really exciting technologies. He's having more fun these days, and even has his own office with a window. He's not only extremely smart, but also a really nice boss.
Elizabeth is a prominent global expert in PHP web development scripting language and a regular contributor to International PHP Magazine and PHPBuilder.com. She is co-author of several books and resources on PHP topics. She also performs software and technology book reviews, and teaches an e-commerce course for the Great Oaks campuses of Greater Cincinnati. When she's not having fun with those hobbies, Elizabeth spearheads the Medicfusion Technology Partnership Project. If you have a cool partnering idea, contact Elizabeth.
Shelly is a User Interface Designer which means she draws nice pictures and knows how to put them on the web. It's a lot more complicated than you might think. Shelly met Ken when they worked together on that government database. He helped plan her escape and snatched her up the minute Medicfusion was ready for a designer. Shelly also leads our design team.
Lew is a true technology veteran and Medicfusion's Process Analyst. That means he's the technology industry's equivalent of a bean counter. And working with Lew sure is fun! Not a day goes by without a heady discussion about minute process details, such as whether built-in alarms should be generated from the user and transmitted to the server, or generated from the server and transmitted to the user. Really, it's so much fun. You should call him with your process ideas.
If you ever meet Connie, you'll notice she's quite tall. This allows her to be very persuasive when she needs to be. Lucky us. Connie takes care of all the little details around here that no one else wants to deal with, so if you'd like to speak to us about a neat product you're selling, or your kid's fund raiser at school, Connie's your girl. And if you have a trade show or conference to tell us about, even better. Connie's waiting for your call.
James is proud to say he speaks PHP better than English, which believe it or not, is a good thing at Medicfusion, where Tech-speak beats plain English any day. James is also proficient at Flash, MySQL and some other brainy technology languages, so you might think twice before inviting him to your next party. (Hint: If you are planning a party, see the listing for Lew Ebstein, above.)
Scott may very well be the brightest of the bunch, having successfully made an actual career out of designing video games. In between Online matches of Doom III, Scott creates the animation that makes Medicfusion fun and user-friendly.
Sam is an accomplished designer and a valuable asset to the Medicfusion team. Our shared vision to provide every physician in America with a top-notch cyber-site makes us a perfect match. He's your source for snazzy web site design and customization. And if you're planning a trip to Southern Ohio, he'll be happy to give you a tour.
Matt Warden's student status may fool you. While the grown-ups engage in very impressive intellectual discourse, Matt quietly speaks through keystrokes. His favorite language, PHP. His favorite hobby, doing it right. His favorite bevarge? Good question. By the way, he's an author, too. Please see chapter 11 of Professional LAMP. Of course you can have an autographed copy!
